2021 Project - Crooked Lake
Firstly, I'd like to point out that undertaking any sort of construction project during a pandemic & supply chain issues is a headache itself - Fault of no One. That said:
We bought a home in a wilderness area that had two things going for it: location & good bones. The luck of being able to contact & hire the original builder was a huge PLUS.
In short, the house had been poorly maintained in & out, but all the systems were in good shape. The siding & roof were a mess, the window frames were in bad shape & the interior was just blah. The structure was very solid. I had some ideas about what to do as I've had a lot of experience in that field. Brian Beaman of Beaman Enterprises and I had several conversations about what needed to be done & what could be done. As always happens, it seemed like it would never be finished, mostly due to the difficulty getting some materials & in a smaller way the development of ideas as to how to really make this place look Great.
Brian has Excellent Taste & Great Vision. I admit I fought him on a few things & frankly I'm Glad he won most of the time. The place looks amazing - Better than I could have ever thought. Beaman Enterprises' crew is also Amazing. The lead carpenter is a real Pro, the foreman is Not a "Jack" of all trades, but a Master of them. They work hard & I believe really care about the final product.
We are very pleased with the outcome on this project & Highly recommend Beaman Enterprises Services.

We just wanted to take a minute to thank you for all of the past work Beaman Enterprises performed for us on our lake house in northern Wisconsin. You helped us take a "diamond in the rough" and turn it into a wonderful vacation home - yet, we were able to keep the lodge feeling that we loved so much. Lately, we made a decision to purchase a new property - though it is much newer than our previous cottage, we still have things we want to change to make it our own. Beaman Enterprises is the first place we'll call when we're ready to upgrade things a bit. You've always been great to work with - helpful and prompt. We've also appreciated how good you were about keeping us abreast of what was happening with our projects, especially because we couldn't always be there to see for ourselves. Thanks again - keep up the good work!

I am pleased to write this letter of recommendation for Brian Beaman at Beaman Enterprises. Brian worked for me on the renovation of the exterior of my summer home here in Eagle River. He was recommended to me by an acquaintance from St. Peter's church and now I am recommending him to you. During Brian's service with us, I had many questions on how and what I should or should not have done to my summer home. I depended on Brian's experience and expertise in the construction business to help us redesign our summer home. Brian was keenly devoted to his work, but being a real person, he was enjoyable to be around. Brian demonstrated from day one that he understood what the construction business was all about. Brian and his crew were very well organized. Brian was quite aware of the cost of the project and the quality of the products being installed. I suppose doing well in business is easy if you are, as he was, efficiently by nature. I would like to be very clear about why Brian is the person for the job. Brian is available for new challenges only because of his desire to learn and grow further. We would love for him to construct and renovate your home so you can have the same enjoyment that we have now. In closing let me say I have no hesitation in recommending Brian Beaman for anything pertaining to your construction needs. I feel confident he will add looks and comfort to your home along with increase td value to your home.

This was our first experience with a builder, since we have always bought used. We live remotely and we were able to get preliminaries done via computer no thanks to "thumbs" Brian but to his wife, Deanna. We presented a rough design to Brian and he improved on it with his knowledge of Michigan building codes and the lay of the lot, agreed on a price and the deal was struck. He started building in Spring and it was completed prior to Labor Day when we had a large gathering to help celebrate the new house. We feel that Beaman Enterprises; Brian, Deanna, his crew and contractors did an excellent job on our building. Since we were novices, Brian looked out for us ans assured that he used the most up to date methods and materials. Brian was able to work with us because of monetary constraints put on him by us. During the construction, Brian telephonically kept us informed about the progress and kept us in the loop with suggestions and questions. We made several surprise visits to the site and Brian and all his crew and contractors were very pleasant and responded willingly to my bothersome questions. We would not hesitate to recommend Beaman Enterprises to anyone wishing to build in the area, Wisconsin or Michigan. Our experience with Beaman Enterprises was very good. We continue to keep in touch with Brian and Deanna because they have been very good to us.

We purchased a beautiful, rustic resort on Mamie Lake, now called Angler's Isle. The resort consisted of a lodge from 1920's, a bout house from the 1930's, various cabins and a new log cabin home. We searched fro someone to help with numerous projects that we could trust. I would require knowledge of both old and new structures, excellent workmanship and relieablility. We found exactly what we needed with Beaman Enterprises. Brian and Deanna have helped us tremendously throughout the last year. Our bunk project, completed just before summer, was a beautiful remodel. The built-in bunks, custom deck and furniture, show off Brian's talent as a detailed carpenter. Various repair projects and general maintenance proved overall knowledge of equipment, electrical and plumbing. The meticulous cleaning of our resort showed timeliness and attention to detail, with Deanna's special touch making our guest truly welcome. Beman Enterprises is top-quality. We enjoyed working with them in our first year of operation and look forward to many years ahead. Feel free to contact us as a reference for your residential and business needs.

We have had Beaman Enterprises complete a number of projects at our summer home. In each instance, we have been very satisfied with the results. Brian Beaman and his people have always discussed the project with us beforehand, so they are aware of our preferences. We also know in advance the materials to be used and have a general idea of how the project will unfold. Often special circumstances arise during the project, mostly due to the peculiarities of the construction of older summer homes such as ours. These issues are always discussed so that a mutually agreeable solution can be found. One example was replacing our basement stairs. The existing stairs were very difficult to use. With a bit of effort, new stairs with a much safer landing were installed. Another project involved new outside doors and frames on our guest house. There were, of course, problems such as rotten wood, nonstandard wall thicknesses, and no right angles. While these may seem to be small projects, it is very difficult to find someone who will tackle such tasks and do so with care. The one large project was the installation of access platforms on each end of our hill climber, which provided lake access from the bluff. This was a significant job that turned out very well. To summarize, we have been very pleased with the courtesy and care exercised by Beaman Enterprises on our behalf.

It is my privilege to provide a professional reference and heart-felt recommendation for Brian & Deanna Beaman, owners of Beaman Enterprises. On a warm day in February, the entire ceiling of my log home started to leak due to condensation and improper ventilation. My home owners insurance policy covered all the damages eventually, but the grueling process of negotiation with a claims adjuster, making sure every nail gets paid for can be tricky. After interviewing (12) contractors, I was able to narrow down my list to (3) and gave them all the opportunity to provide me with a detailed proposal based on the cost and material required to repair all the damages. To make a long story short and after three kicks at the cat, (the adjuster), I was able to settle with the insurance adjuster $9,000.00 higher than their initial coverage claim due to Brian & Deanna's knowledge and experience in writing proposals. Their reliability and integrity were above question and unparalleled to any other contractor. Throughout the entire project, I can honestly say that I enjoyed having their employees work in my home. They were all gentlemen and worked steady without taking breaks. They even cleaned and vacuumed my home at the end of the day? Imagine that! Finally, Brian's instincts are always on target and their business is always guided by a strong set of ethics. Beaman Enterprises is a company I can recommend with complete confidence. I know both Brian & Deanna will measure up to, and beyond, anyone's expectations.

My wife Jean and I have done extensive business with Brian and Deanna in the past. First, we purchased and then had installed many doors and windows in our second home at Cisco Lake, Watersmeet, Michigan. We were so pleased with the result we then commissioned more doors and windows, siding and roofing for both the house and the garage. Finally we converted an extra-sized laundry into our smaller laundry and a second bath. We have been very pleased with the results and are proud to spend time there with friends and family. Workmanship was exceptional and the Beamans are fair to do business with. They even called to our attention an attempt on our parts to overpay them.

To Whom It May Concern: This letter may serve to recommend Brian Beaman for your remodel or construction needs. Brian and his crew worked on our cabine in 2010 and 2011. They installed new windows, deck rails and stairs, interior lighting, paneling, insulation, and a storage shed. The work was done in a timely and professional manner. We were there this spring for a few days to actually see the work being done and were impressed with their skill. Maybe the best part was having Brian's ideas added to ours to make the job that much better. His recommendations and custom add-ons proved to be just the right touch. He has our permission to have any potential customers call or email us. He has our contact info. Just mention his name and I will be glad to talk to your.

February, 2013 - Brian & Deanna: We just returned from a quick trip to our cabin with the grandkids to enjoy some winter sports. As we were driving home we remembered that we had not formally thanked you for the amazing job that your and your crew did on building our garage. Your team exceeded all of our expectations in completing this project. We appreciated your willingness to answer all of our questions (we had quite a few!) and managing the changes we considered as the project was progressing. Your ability to customize the plan for us and solve problems when they arose was the key to getting the building that we had hoped for. I've told other homeowner in the area that your bid was very competitive and that we would definitely recommend they contact you for any building projects they might be considering. I also understand from my neighbors that you are willing to tackle both large and small projects. We have several issues with our cabin that need to be "rehabbed" & will definitely use your company again in the near future. Thanks again........

To whom it may concern: Fall 2012
Recently my wife and I decided it was time for a new roof on our cabin in the Michigan Upper Peninsula. We contacted several contractors in the area and were not very satisfied with the responses, none seemed to be interested in applying a steel roof which was what we wanted. We then contracted Beaman Enterprises in Phelps, WI. The owner, Mr. Brian Beaman, agreed to come up and view the job and make an estimate. He arrived within a day and gave us an estimate that compared favorably with others we had for a shingled roof. his estimate included removal of the existing roof, ordering the necessary steel together with all needed fasteners and felt material, and edging. The removal of all construction material and the roof TV antenna was also included. When the date arrived to begin the project Mr. Beaman and his crew showed up promptly and worked steady through completion with just a short delay in some rain, which was understandable. At the finish, he and the crew left the site area completely clean and used magnets to assure all of the roofing nails from the prior roof were picked up and removed. Both my wife and I were totally satisfied with the workmanship and rapid completion of the project. The entire Beaman crew was professional. If we have any need for construction work in the future, we will not hesitate to call Beaman Enterprises. If any further information is required we can be reached by telephone.

August 2013 - We purchased a former resort headquarters' home on Thousand Island Lake, more for the property and waterfront location than the house. We knew at the time it would need some work, but that turned out to be an understatement. If you are familiar with the "Holmes on Homes" TV series, this house would have been perfect for them. We asked for names of contractors from Forslund Builders in Land O lakes and Beaman Enterprises was one of three we contacted. What we thought was going to be a $12,500.00 job of renovating a garage turned into a bedroom by former owners and the corner of an apartment area where the floor was sagging, turned out to be a major project. As Brian and his crew got started it soon became apparent this was a major deconstruction as they had to tear off the entire end of the house, realign the roof, put in tiling and rebuild. Brian came up with some design ideas we never considered and we ended up with a spacious teens' bedroom, revamped utility room, new bathroom and new master bedroom. (Much nicer than what we have at home - I may have to talk him into coming to Illinois). The project didn't get underway until September, but they managed to get the entire house under a new metal roof before the snows hit. the winter of 2012/13 was perhaps the worst there's been up here and the crew was beset by obstacles. Brian and Deanna kept us up to date with phone and email so we never felt out of the loop and were able to consult on any new disasters as they popped up. We came back in May and finally got moved in by July. It may sound like this took and extreme amount of time to complete, but the end result is really worth it. Brian, Deanna, "Duck" and many other did and outstanding job and we would be pleased to show it to anyone who wants a closer look at the finished work Beaman Enterprises is capable of. Brian and Deanna are competent, efficient, cost conscious and they were a pleasure to work with.
